Each box is made from Maple Wood and Hand crafted in the USA. The box does not open from the top. A Phillip's Head screw driver is required to open the box from the bottom to insert the bag of ashes. This is customary for memorial boxes. Variations in color and texture only serve to enhance the natural beauty of the wood.
