At no time will we sell, rent or share your personal information. From time to time, we may ask questions so we can learn how to better service you. All information is held in the strictest confidence. With the exception of products from Jakey BB, Creature Comforts and Pet Memorial items, all orders are shipped directly from A Pet's World. The number of people with access to your information is very limited. Furthermore, we do not have any access to your credit card information when you place your order online.

Return policy

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase from apetsworld.com, please return it to us in its original/unused condition and packaging within 30 days for an exchange or a merchandise credit for our website. Sorry, but we can not credit the shipping charges or refund your money. Please be sure to include a copy of your original invoice when returning the merchandise.

We urge you to take extra care in measuring your pet for collars, harnesses and apparel. Please check our sizing charts before placing your order.

The following items may not be returned or exchanged:

  • Personalized or custom items
  • Wedding/Holiday items
  • Toys
  • Sale merchandise
  • Worn/used merchandise
  • Merchandise purchased anywhere else but apetsworld.com
*Please do not attempt to return merchandise purchased from apetsworld.com to any retail store that carriers our collection. *In addition, we can not accept returns of merchandise purchased from any place except from apetsworld.com.
 
Coupons/Free Shipping Offers
Please note that coupons are NOT valid on PetzOFF products. Free shipping does NOT apply to PetzOFF products.  Coupons are not valid on Sale or Promotional Items. Coupons are only valid on www.APetsWorld.com   they may not be used in any retail stores or on other web sites that carry A Pet's World products.

Uncollected/refused packages will be charged a $10.00 restocking fee plus shipping and handling charges. If you request that we reship the merchandise we will need to charge for shipping and handling again.

**We can not accept responsibility for packages returned to us, but not received. In addition, we are not responsible for returns received after 30 days from the original ship date or returns that do not include the original invoice or invoice number.

For your protection, please be sure to obtain a delivery confirmation receipt or tracking number, as well as insurance for the merchandise. Multiple exchanges will incur a 20% restocking fee, plus shipping & handling.

In other words, your first exchange is free, unless your original order had free shipping…Additional exchanges will be charged as noted. Website credits are valid for one year from date of issue.

Sizing

We urge you to consult our sizing guidelines and charts before submitting your order. Personalized, Custom and Sale merchandise is not accepted for returns or exchanges.

Since sizes within the same breed can vary dramatically, we are not able to tell you what size your pet wears. Following are sizing guidelines:

Embellished Nylon Collars and Embellished Harnesses:

 

For the correct collar size, measure your pet's neck, where the collar will sit, as accurately as possible and add 2" for the collar size you need to buy: E.g. if your dog's neck measures 10" around, add 2" and order a size 12 collar.

For the correct harness size, measure your pet’s girth (or chest area that is 1" behind the front legs) That will give you the correct numerical harness measurement. All embellished items are sized numerically, e.g. size 8, 10, etc.

 Adjustable Nylon Webbing Quick Release Collars and Harnesses:

Collars:

Measure your pet's neck, where the collar will sit, as accurately as possible and order the size that is equivalent to that number: E.g. If your pet's neck measures 18" order a size Large collar. Refer to the chart below:

Step In Quick Release Harnesses:

Measure your pet's girth (chest area 1" behind the front legs) as accurately as possible and order the size equivalent to that number. If your pet's girth measures 15" order a size Small harness. Please note that a Pet's collar and harness size usually do not coincide. Please refer to the chart below:

Leather Collars:

Measure your Pet's neck, where the collar will sit, as accurately as possible and that is your pet's collar size. If your pet's neck measures 7" or 8" order a size 8 leather collar. There are extra holes to go a little smaller and one hole to go a little larger. If your pet's neck measures 20", order a size 20 Leather Collar. Leather collars are sized numerically.

Apparel sizing (coats, sweaters, t-shirts)

 

Measure your dog's back from the neck base to the tail base. Be sure that your dog is standing, not sitting. If the measurement is between sizes then order one size up.

Shipping and Handling

DOMESTIC Shipping and Handling Information:

We are not attempting to make a profit on shipping and handling fees, but need to cover our expenses for all the packaging materials, as well as the labor involved in packing, plus transportation. We continually look to lower these costs and pass the savings on to the customer. Unless otherwise specified, we ship via Priority Mail from the US Postal Service with a delivery confirmation or via UPS. All small packages weighing up to l 1b will be $8.00 for Priority Mail shipping and handling with a delivery confirmation. However, our online order form will print out a shipping charge based on the dollar value of the order. We will adjust it to the lower rate upon receipt of the order and confirm it to you. Upon request and certainly if there is a delay in receipt of your package, we will supply the tracking number, which can be verified at: United States Postal Service Web Site (tracking information) www.usps.com or ups.com

RATES Effective For all packages shipped on or after July 1, 2005 Standard Shipping via Priority Mail from the Post Office Approximately 2-3 day delivery, not including drop off date. Express Shipping from the Post Office Generally next day delivery, but up to 2 daysfor some towns and cities, not including drop off date. UPS is up to 7 days for delivery, depending on the address, not including the pick up date.

If you would like us to ship via UPS overnight or 2 day or 3 day service, please contact us for the shipping and handling charges, as it can be very costly. Expect to pay a minimum of $50.00.

If you have a valid UPS or FedEx shipper number with the corresponding billing address and zip code, we can ship collect and reduce the handling fee to $3.00. However, if the information is not valid, we will automatically ship via our standard methods and charge accordingly.
 
Coupons or Codes for FREE Shipping apply to standard shipping only within the US. They are usually shipped via Priority Mail.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS:

Please add $30.00 to the standard shipping and handling charge. International orders are generally shipped via Global Priority or Global Express from the US Postal Service. Please note that there is no tracking number available for Global Priority. Also, the US postal service is only responsible for the delivery to your Post Office, not to your shipping address. We are currently checking other carriers, but to date the US Postal Service has the most reasonable shipping rates to other countries. Shipping time is approximately 10 business days.

**All customs and duty charges are the sole responsibility of the recipient. We do not know what the individual country polices are.

** For all orders, please be sure to write your complete shipping address as it is recognized by the US. Postal Service and/or UPS. Do not use abbreviations and please specify if it is a Road, Court, Lane, Drive, Street, etc. E.g. 245 Maple is not acceptable and we will not be able to print a shipping label. However, 245 Maple Street is acceptable if that is the proper name.

New York State residents pay 8.125% tax for merchandise shipped within NY State.

 

Payment Options
In addition to checks and money orders, we accept Visa and Mastercard and American Express.  We also reluctantly accept PayPal.  If you are using paypal, please note that we are unable to adjust your shipping fee to a lower rate than what is shown on your order.

 

Billing
With the exception of custom, special or personalized orders, we do not bill your credit card until we are ready to ship the merchandise to you. However, for custom, special and personalized products, we must charge you for the merchandise, shipping and handling before we send your order out to be made or embroidered. It may take up to 2 weeks to ship custom or personalized items. If an item is out of stock, you will not be billed until it arrives and we are ready to send it out for personalization or ship it directly to you.
